This tour covers the the sights and memorials on the left bank of the Vltava river. You start on the Charles Bridge, the oldest stone bridge of Prague built in 1357. In the middle of the Bridge you go down the steps to enter the largest of Prague islands, Kampa. This is a very picturesque place with a small square with trees that leads to the Kampa park. Passing through the coloured houses you go by the John Lennon´s Wall, a famous Prague memorial of the former Beatles member that faces the French and Maltese embassy.

Here you get in the very heart of the Lower Town, founded in 1257 by the German colonists. The current Prague diplomatic district is a seat of the most embassies situated in the former palaces of Czech nobility. Beautiful Renaissance mansions decorate the streets of this quarter leading to the Lower Town Square. Here you find the best example of Czech Rococco architecture, Saint Nicolas church as well as the House of Commons of the Czech Republic and other parliamentary institutions.

Going up the Neruda Street with fancy buildings famous for their original home signs – sort of House „At The Three Violins“, „At the Red Sheep“, „At the Golden Star“… you will cross the border of the Lower Town and get in the Castle Town.

In the medieval Prague Place of execution Pohořelec you will turn to the pilgrim place Loretta and continue directly to the Prague Castle, the largest European castle complex with over 2000 rooms. You will visit the Saint Vitus Cathedral, the Old Royal Palace, the Saint George Basilica, the fortification, the Golden Lane with very colorful tiny houses for medieval soldiers and in the summer season, also the Royal Gardens.

For this tour you will pay for the admission according to the contemporary prices of the Prague Castle on your own, our agency provides just a guide with the explenation.

This is a half a day tour. We kindly recommend to start the tour around 9 a.m. before the big crowds of people get in the streets or around 2 p.m. which is a time when the most tourists go for lunch and the centre of Prague is emptier.
